Wignalls vineyard is arguably Western Australia’s most southerly vineyard, one of Australia’s most pristine environments adjacent to the Southern Ocean. There is 16 hectares of intensive vineyard development on the property along with 40 hectares of prime beef production land with Angus cattle, literally on the outskirts of the City Of Albany.
Principle varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with some small plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is a “permaculture” styled operation with minimal soft chemical use, zero insecticide and herbicide use all to balance with nature. Good growing conditions make great wines and the onsite winery only finishes what nature has given us.
