Shiraz 2009

Wignalls 2009 Shiraz

Winemakers Notes

Our 2009 Shiraz is announced by intense white pepper and spice derived from the classic  and dry summer. Complex fruitful aromas have also been intensified with subtle French oak handling with minimal charring. The palate has flavour’s of blackberry, cassis, raspberry and cinnamon with a fruit based sweetness created by what is called “rack and return” fermentation.

This medium bodied Shiraz is drinking well on release but will benefit with cellaring over the next six years due to the medium weight tannins.
